Introducing in-house advanced cash-flow analytics for improved clarity, efficiency, and confidence for users.

Problem

Previously, Recordent relied on an embedded third-party analytics tool to display buyer and payment data. The interface felt disconnected from the product and required frequent context switching, resulting in slower performance and limited customization.

Solution

The analytics module was reorganized into six focused sections with a cleaner layout, consistent visuals, and simplified navigation. Key metrics and color‑coded indicators surface the most important insights upfront, improving readability and supporting quicker, action‑oriented decisions.

Overview

Introducing all new in-house Advanced Cash-flow Analytics. The analytics module provides a consolidated overview of business performance across sales, collections, disputes, promises, recovery, credit risk, and team activity. It is designed to turn complex operational data into clear, scannable insights so teams can quickly understand what is happening, spot issues, and decide where to act next.

Key Issues before

  1. Fragmented Experience: The embedded analytics UI felt external and inconsistent with the core product design, leading to a disjointed user journey.

  2. Limited Customization: We couldn’t modify layouts, chart types, or interactions to match user needs or product goals.

  3. Slow Load Time: Data rendering through third-party scripts led to long loading delays and poor responsiveness.

  4. Poor Data Readability: Metrics appeared in cluttered layouts without visual hierarchy, making it hard to compare or track performance.

  5. Lack of Actionable Insights: Data was static — users could see numbers but not interpret trends or take meaningful actions from them.

  6. No Role-Based Visibility: Managers couldn’t view employee-level performance insights directly within the platform.

  7. Low Engagement: Users often skipped the analytics section due to poor performance and usability, reducing the feature’s overall value.

Solution

The analytics module was differentiated into 6 sections - Sales and Collections, Disputed Payments, Promised Payments, Payment Recovery, Credit Assessment, and Your Team.

  1. Streamlined Layout: The earlier dashboard’s dense arrangement of charts and tables was reorganized into clear, digestible sections — with top-level KPIs placed prominently and detailed metrics grouped logically below.

  2. Improved Data Visualization: Each metric category (like payment trends, outstanding dues, collection rates, and credit risk) was visualized through consistent chart styles — making it easier for users to compare performance across time and categories.

  3. Focused Insights: Color-coded indicators (green, yellow, red) now highlight performance thresholds, helping users instantly identify what’s performing well and what needs attention.

  4. Simplified Navigation: Repetitive widgets and redundant stats were removed, allowing the user to access key insights without scrolling endlessly through data-heavy tables.

  5. Better Readability: The use of white space, improved alignment, and clear typography significantly reduced visual clutter and cognitive load.

  6. Action-Driven Information: Quick-view panels and summary cards now surface the most relevant numbers upfront — such as top overdue accounts or recent payment patterns — enabling users to take immediate steps.

  7. Visual Consistency: Charts, legends, and labels follow a unified color system and hierarchy, ensuring clarity across all dashboard states.
